INSPIRE 3WW3 - Exploring Leadership in University Orientation
Offering: Fall 2024
This course is open to students volunteering as University orientation representatives in the current academic year of study. Through a variety of group activities, students will develop and reflect on their personal leadership, mentorship, and communication skills to better understand group dynamics, the leadership and communication style of others, the impact of orientation programming on the university experience, student development, and critical considerations of the strategic priorities of orientation.
Prerequisite(s)
Must hold a position and/or role as a University orientation representative concurrent with enrollment in the course and permission of the instructor via intersession@mcmaster.ca.
Examples of eligible orientation roles:
- Faculty Representatives
- Residence Representative
- Indigenous Student Services Representative
- Community Advisor
- Archway Mentors
